Endurance Riding gives many people the opportunity to ride at all levels, over glorious countryside - in the words of the Scottish Endurance Riding Club - 'from pleasure to platinum!'
No more so than in the Scottish Borders where the Border Branch of SERC currently has around 50 keen members who enjoy a choice of pleasure rides, training rides, competetive rides and gated rides.
This range of rides enables people to choose a level that suits them. It also offers keen riders the chance to develop their endurance skills by encouraging them to tackle riding across all sorts of terrain, while working on their timing and pacing to achieve the best result.
Recent successful Border rides have included riding from Newtown St. Boswells, taking in Bowden Moor, Faughill Moor, Cauldshields Hill and the famous Eildons. Coming up this month and on throughout the summer are rides around Lauder, Longnewton, Oxnam and Kelso.
