20th - 21st May - within the Festival of the Horse.
Floors Castle on the banks on the River Tweed is the magnificent setting for the 13th running of the International Horse Trials on 20th and 21st May.
Jamie Innes is in charge once again and along with his experienced committee, he is greatly looking forward to this fabulous event hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe:
'We're thrilled,' says Jamie, ' to have Ian Stark designing the CIC** this year and are sure our spectators will love his innovative and exciting new fences.'
'This is our 13th year at Floors and the event just gets more and more popular. We've competitors coming from all over Europe and we're certainly in for some exciting action.'
'We're also very pleased to host, for the first time ever, the British Riding Clubs' Area 1 Open Qualifier for the British Finals at Off church Bury, Warwickshire in August - another very interesting attraction for both riders and spectators.'
Entries in 2005 broke the 500 barrier and with Renovate, Novice, Novice Regional Final, Intermediate, Open Intermediate and CIC** there are classes for everyone. For 'foot-followers' - there is a splendid selection of trade stands this year as well as a full range of catering facilities.
Floors with its superb parkland, is known for its wonderful going and well built, beautifully presented cross-country fences. Excellent viewing of the whole event can be had from the natural grandstand in front of the castle. Just put it in your diary NOW!
